Learn to pick at Didmarton
The BBMA is trialling a new initiative at Didmarton Bluegrass Festival next month - with one-to-one lessons available on most of the bluegrass instruments.
Taught by three very talented young musicians, the half hour lessons will be available on the Friday and Saturday afternoons, at a cost of £10, or £8 to BBMA members.
The tutors, John Breese (banjo), Laura Carrivick (fiddle and dobro) and Charlotte Carrivick (guitar and mandolin) should be well known to Didmarton regulars, having played there in a variety of bands in recent years.
John tells us that “anyone of any age or ability will have access to one on one lessons on their chosen bluegrass instrument,” and that “spares of each instrument will be available, with the aim of enabling festival goers to try out a new instrument.”
