Musical twins in talent contest
The Carrivick Sisters compete in the final of the BBC Young Folk Award next week.
The twins are up against five other acts from across the UK, with the music emcompassing traditional Irish and Scottish music, English folk ballads and Gaelic singing. Prizes for the winner include a recording session for Radio 2 plus appearances at some of the country’s top folk festivals.
The final will be held at the BBC Radio Theatre in London on Friday 4th December with highlights broadcast on the Mike Harding Show the following Wednesday.
