Charity Bluegrass Concert for Haiti
UPDATE (31st Jan): Please note this event has changed venue and will now take place at the The Sun Public House, Windlesham. The article below has been updated with the correct information.
In response to the hardship caused by the massive earthquake that has devastated Haiti, a concert is being arranged for Sunday 7th February at Windlesham in Surrey.
The line up so far is A Band Like Alice, The Biggin Hillbillies, The Grass Hoppers and Mardi Grass, with possibly more to be confirmed. There will also be jam sessions throughout the afternoon, and food and drink will be available.
A minimum suggested donation for the day will be £10 for adults, £5 for under 18s and free for under 11s. All proceeds over cost will go to the people of Haiti through the International Movement ATD Fourth World who have a team of workers on the ground in one of the poorest and hardest hit areas of the country.
The full address for the event is the The Sun Public House, Windlesham, Surrey GU20 6EN. Doors open at 2.30pm and the concert will continue until late.
To help plan for the number of people expected the organisers would appreciate it if you let them know if you are going. Please contact Ray Hutchings and Jason French at bluegrassforhaiti@googlemail.com
