Birmingham bluegrass sessions?

If you run a session or are looking for people to pick with please post here

Does anyone attending these sessions come from west Birmingham? I'm based in Cradley Heath and don't have a car, which means that getting home is problematic (half hour walk then last train at 11). Any chance anyone might be able to give me a lift home please? I'm a fiddler and very keen to be involved.

Hi Violass, great to hear you fancy coming to the session, fiddle players in Brum are hard to come by apart from on the irish session scene,i am in North Birmingham myself(Great barr) so not your side but we do have a couple of pickers come from Tipton way(not far from you is it?),unfortunately i cannot promise they will be at the next session(although one of them usually is),i will try and get hold of them for you.The next session is next Tuesday 24th April.

Hi Paulos,

thanks very much for your reply. Tipton is quite close to me so it might be a goer. Unfortunately I'm not free this Tuesday but perhaps you could have a word with the people you have in mind and see whether we can arrange something for next time? If you know of any other sessions going on, particularly in central Brum, I'd love to hear about them (bluegrass, Irish, anything).

Thanks,

Julia

Hi Paulos,

any progress on this? Did you manage to speak to the people you had in mind who might be able to give me a lift?

Thanks,

Julia

Hi all,

So are we expecting a fiddler tonight? If yes, I'm very excited!
