For the moment, the session will take place at Frimhurst Family Home, Guildford Road, Frimley Green, Surrey, Gu16 6NU. Thanks Jason for organising a great evening. Considering it was our first night it all went really well with a very good turnout. I'm looking forward to the next one, particularly for more of those great songs you picked up in Virginia.

Hi all,
After a successful first jam in Frimley Green with eight musicians we will continue this Wednesday the 17th of November at around 8pm. We will still be at Frimhurst since I have not heard from the pub yet. We might change to a room with better acoustics, just look out for where the lights are on in the house.

The address is: Frimhurst Family Home, Guildford Road, Frimley Green, Surrey, Gu16 6NU. Frimhurst is a big old victorian manor house with great facilities and is perfect as a temporary home for the jam. We hope to move to the Rose and Thistle Pub in the center of the village one of these months but they haven't sorted out their licensing problem yet.

Frimhurst Family House is situated just outside Frimley Green on the Guildford Road (direction Pirbright/Brookwood). Heading out of Frimley Green you will come to a set of traffic lights on a narrow bridge which crosses the Basingstoke Canal. Immediately after the bridge there is a driveway on the left. Follow the driveway about a quarter of a mile up to the main house. Just park up and head for the building with all the lights on!

Hi all,
A reminder for the Frimley Green Jam on Wednesday 16th December at 8pm. I will not be able to attend this month since I am away in France but we decided to go ahead and have the jam in any case. Ray Hutchings will be there to make sure everything runs smoothly. Since I won't be there I won't be able to put on any refreshments so feel free to bring your own,
Have a good pick,
Jason

Frimley Green Jam - Change of date.

Postby jasonfrenchuk » Sun Feb 14, 2010 7:14 pm

Hi all,
Due to a clash with an event at Frimhurst the regular monthly Frimhurst jam will be moved from Wednesday February 17 to Wednesday February 24.

I have also had several requests from beginner banjo players looking to improve their playing. In response to this, we will hold a beginners banjo workshop before the jam proper at 7pm. Any beginners are welcome as are more advanced banjo players who are willing to share their expertise.

The regular jam will begin from 8ish onwards.

See you there,
Jason
