Country Music/ Bluegrass Session near Worcester/Bromyard

Just to let everyone know that a new Country/Bluegrass session has been running for about 3 months at the Wheatsheaf Inn, Whitbourne, on the A44 between Worcester and Bromyard. We meet on the last Tuesday of every month, and the next one is tomorrow night, 24 June. Hope to see as many as possible. If you can't make it then, please put the next one in your diary - 29 July. Unfortunately the Wheatsheaf pub has closed, so we will be having a session on THURSDAY 2ND OCTOBER at the Fox and Hounds, Lulsley, WR6 5QT, on the road between Alfrick and Knightwick. Please note the change of day. We will fix a new permanent venue and day after Thursday. Hi everyone. An important message about the country/bluegrass session scheduled for next week. We are now back to our regular last Tuesday of the month (not Thursday, please note). The new venue is the Portobello Inn, 139a Bransford Road, St Johns, Worcester, WR2 4EZ. Next one Tuesday 28 October.

This is a lot handier for the M5 than our previous venues, so I hope a few folks from further afield will venture along.

Hi. We have now found a great new venue for the session, and will be meeting this Tuesday 30th December. The venue is the Bush Inn, Bull Ring, St Johns, Worcester, WR2 5AD. Regular dates - last Tuesday of every month. Handy for junction 7 of M5. Great beer. The landlord is very enthusiastic to promote the session, so we have great hopes of this venue. Hi Frank,

myself and a friend of mine are hoping to come up. Haven't played any bluegrass for a number of years but just having gone to Didmarton last weekend, thought I'd give it a go again. Will be pretty rusty so might just come along this month and listen in.

I play guitar or bass, am learning mandolin and am also thinking of restarting banjo as I used to play it years ago, but stopped.....oh and harp (metal thing you blow into, not big irish stringy thing). Bit of a jack of all trades really.

Might just come along and listen in this month, sort of see what you guys play and try and learn a few tunes.......work permitting.
