Birmingham bluegrass sessions?

If you run a session or are looking for people to pick with please post here

This pickin' session has been going on for years. It's a tight knit jam with a couple of banjos, mandolins and guitars. These guys can really knock it out. They meet every third Monday (or there about) of the month at The Ashmole Club, Hammerwich, Nr Lichfield. It's a real friendly pick with guys who really know what they are doing.

Hi all,

Just a quick note to remind y'all that the Birmingham session is on Monday 14th - that's in two days time (woo!). It's at the Old Moseley Arms in Moseley at about 8-8.30pm. See above messages for more details on how to get there

See ya then!

I hear we've been relegated to the upstairs room again. What happened there then?

I know, I asked the guy at the pub but he said no. Maybe Mr Elastic may be able to use his remarkable powers of persuasion, because he was told before that it would be ok. Give it a go?

What a result! I knew there were bluegrassers in Birmingham!

Thanks to everyone for coming. As I mentioned last night, I'd like to make this a fixed monthly thing, which will provisionally be the 2nd tuesday of every month. If anybody knows of any clashes with any other sessions in the area please shout now. I'll confirm the dates soon if there are no problems with that.

If anyone has any queries or questions feel free to fire them in my direction. I'll let you know shortly on the date of the next session.

Hi Camilla, Paul, Mick etc...

Really delighted to hear you had a good night, sorry I couldn't come again but my father is ill in hospital from a stroke on Friday night.

There is a session on the second Tuesday, it's run by Kenny Harris at Bulkington War Memorial Club. It's more a listener's audience but they do have people to play there and it would be a shame to clash with it.

Well done once again for taking up the cudgel and putting something on. I will give it a mention in the BBN when I do my report for the BBMA which is imminent.

All the best

Ha Ha, you may well ask.

They say if you balance Britain on a pin with Bulkington as the pivotal point, it will fall over. :?

Hope this helps
