There’s a wide range of things happening in July, with a choice of festivals, picking weekends, workshops and gigs. Follow the links to get full information about the events listed.

There’s a bit of variety on the festival front this month. Maverick is mostly an Americana and country event, but has a number of bluegrass and old-timey acts on the bill. Bluegrass festivals in South Essex and Dorset boast an international line up, featuring bands from across the US and Europe.

For those who want to pick and socialise, Alsia Fest offers a free weekend campout filled with old-time and bluegrass jams, workshops and dancing.
