Celtic Connections 2020 announced

Details of the 2020 Celtic Connections in Glasgow have been announced, and the line-up is filled with artists that should be of interest to British bluegrass fans.

As is now customary, the festival will kick-off a national tour for Transatlantic Sessions – this time featuring the likes of Sierra Hull, Tommy Emmanuel and Cahalen Morrison alongside mainstays Jerry Douglas and Russ Barenberg. Two performances in Glasgow will be followed by shows in Liverpool, Gateshead, Manchester, London, Birmingham and Brighton.

Other bluegrass, old-time and Americana related highlights include:

  • Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn (Jan 18th)
  • The Local Honeys (Jan 20th)
  • The Jacob Jolliff Band (Jan 24th)
  • Damien O’Kane and Ron Block (Jan 25th)
  • Joe Newberry and April Verch (Jan 30th)
  • Sierra Hull (Feb 1st)

UK bluegrass is represented by Midnight Skyracer (Jan 18th) and Cup O’Joe (Jan 21st).
